Temple Grandin is a young woman with autism who created a better way for cattle to be killed. She also fought for rights for autistic people like her. Temple was born August 29,1947 in Boston, Massachusetts. Temple has autism and also a brain damage. Her behavior would be mostly described as abnormal since she would be calm most of the times but then something would set her off and she would start screaming and really emotional. She would be hard to calm down once something set her off. She would calm down by spinning around in circles or swinging on something, or just simply running around in circles. The way she acts is like how the cows run around in circles when they are upset and they try to calm down by doing that. Temple had two close friends in her life, something that doctors found impossible for an autistic child to do, her two best friends were, her science teacher and her college friend, although her mom would be considered her friend too since she was always around her. In all her life besides friendships she had no other relationships, she had no boyfriends and no girlfriends, and she is not married either. Her not being married also means that she does not have any children. She does though have dogs as pets and works with horses most off her time. Temple has various degrees, among them she has a master's degree in animal science ,a doctoral degree in animal science, and a bachelor's degree in psychology. Last but not least, Temple lives in Colorado and works as an American professor at the Colorado State University.
